Malware is short for MALicious softWARE.

It is software that is designed to damage a computer system without the user knowing. Malware can detect key stokes, passwords, and screenshots. Malware includes computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, most rootkits, spyware, dishonest adware, crimeware and other malicious software.

Types of malware include: Computer viruses, Computer worms, Trojan horses, Logic bombs, Spyware, Adware, Spam, and Popups.1 Malware can be sent to victims across the web and the virus can be copied and modified. They are used to gather information about the computer users such as passwords and financial details. It is very hard to hide from malware as antivirus software’s find it difficult to detect them. As these malware attacks are becoming more known there are now anti-malware programs as well as virus and spyware protection. Spam blockers are also very helpful to prevent unwanted content.
